Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, educate clients on pet health, and help maintain a safe hospital environment. The role emphasizes high-quality care, team collaboration, and accurate medical record keeping.

The successful candidate will assist in procedures, monitor hospitalized pets, and mentor other staff while following NAVTA guidelines and state protocols. This is a full-time, on-site position in Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

• Certificate of NAVTA approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year related experience with customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and technicians to ensure quality care.
• Educate clients on pet health and Preventive Care.
• Maintain medical charts and obtain patient histories.
• Assist with procedures and monitor hospitalized or surgical patients.
• Promote safety, cleanliness, and sterile technique in the hospital.
• Mentor paraprofessionals and support team collaboration.
