PetVet Care Centers’ Rocklin Road Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Rocklin, California. You will support veterinarians and technicians in daily tasks, including cleaning and maintaining equipment, feeding and grooming patients, preparing and sanitizing surgery suites, restraining and handling patients, and performing clerical duties.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• May consider an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
• Willingness to learn and ability to follow directions from licensed staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners and take weight and vital signs.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians with medications and patient restraint.
• Perform laboratory tests and radiographs as directed.
• Maintain hospital equipment and cleanliness; ensure safe handling of chemicals.
