Job summary

Meadowview Nursing Center in Pell City, AL is seeking a Transportation Specialist to drive the company van, transport residents to appointments and activities, and assist with mobility as needed.

You will work with nursing staff to coordinate schedules, maintain safety, and uphold a compassionate, patient approach. Evening or weekend availability is a plus in a busy senior-care setting.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to physically assist residents with mobility needs.
• Calm, patient and compassionate demeanor.
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
• Prior experience in healthcare or senior living is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments and activities.
• Assist residents in entering and exiting the vehicle and secure them safely.
• Maintain a clean driving record by following traffic laws and safe practices.
• Perform basic vehicle checks and notify maintenance of issues.
• Coordinate transportation schedules with nursing and admin staff.
• Follow protocols for emergencies while in transit.
