Job summary

A local substance abuse treatment facility in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to support clients in treatment sessions. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, relevant certification, and experience with addiction issues. This role includes conducting group sessions and addressing client's individual needs. Strong interpersonal abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have current ADT, CAC-AD, CSC-AD status as an addiction counselor approval through the Professional Board of Counselors & Therapist State of Maryland.
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.
• Experience working with substance abuse desired.

Responsibilities

• Conducts evening and weekend substance abuse education and awareness group sessions.
• Ability to handle, professionally, stressful situations and interact with others.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
