Job summary

Actalent is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced sports medicine office in Bridgewater, NJ. You will support back-office functions, update patient information, and assist with patient care in a high-volume setting.

The role requires CMA certification and an accredited Medical Assistant diploma, with EMR experience (EPIC) and familiarity with Athena. On-site, Contract to Hire, 40 hours/week, with some weekend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Medical assisting experience is preferred, 1 year, but open to new graduates.
• CMA certification required with an accredited Medical Assistant diploma.
• Careful in a fast-paced sports medicine practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care.
• Update patient information and previous visit notes.
• Perform patient intakes and room loading.
• Conduct vital checks and medication reconciliation.
• Prepare charts and patient rooms before visits.
• Complete prior authorizations and restock rooms.
• Manage inventory and triage physician/patient questions.
• Update EMR in EPIC.
