Job summary

Forest Grove School District is seeking an Transportation Instructional Assistant - Special Education for a temporary position in the Forest Grove area. The role supports students with disabilities on buses, documents progress, and coordinates with staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with transportation, implementing IEP-based plans, and maintaining safety and behavior support during transit. Immediate start after screenings may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 72 quarter hours of accredited college or equivalent education or passing score on Work Keys Test.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers first aid and medications as needed.
• Assists students requiring transportation to school.
• Documents incidents and progress for planning.
• Implements behavior plans per IEP.
• Monitors students for safe transportation.
• Provides behavioral support on district transportation.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in trainings.
