Job summary

Kenowa Hills Public Schools seeks compassionate, student-centered individuals to serve as Special Education Paraprofessionals at Kenowa Hills Middle School. These roles support students with disabilities across academics, behavior, and communication throughout the school day.

Candidates should meet Michigan paraprofessional requirements, have CPI/Ukeru training, and be able to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families in a fast-paced educational environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher; OR minimum of sixty college credits; OR passing score on the ETS ParaPro Assessment.
• CPI and Ukeru training required as a district training.
• Experience with Pre-K–12 students and students with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of IEPs.
• Assist students academically in individual, small-group, and classroom settings.
• Support behavior, social-emotional, communication, and functional skill goals.
• Provide instructional support during core instruction, interventions, and school activities.
• Collect student data and maintain documentation related to IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, transportation staff, and families.
• Maintain active supervision across classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Respond to student safety concerns and emergencies.
