Job summary

Davenport Community Schools is seeking a Special Education Para Educator to support students with disabilities under the direction of the special education teacher. The role involves assisting with instructional activities, behavior interventions, and data collection, with responsibilities across classroom, cafeteria, and field trips.

Evening trainings may be required, and the position includes the Special Education differential pay as outlined in the MOA.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with disabilities.
• Ability to follow detailed IEP guidance.
• Willing to attend trainings and implement feedback.

Responsibilities

• Attend evening trainings or meetings as required.
• Follow directives of teachers and administrators.
• Work with students with diverse disabilities and behavior needs.
• Provide academic assistance, behavior interventions, and social skills guidance.
• Supervise students in classroom, lunch, and field trips.
• Assist students with changing clothes and hygiene as needed.
