Qualifications
Two years of experience working successfully with children (preferred).
Satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting check required.
Responsibilities
Help meet individual needs of students, including transferring them to and from wheelchairs.
Assist in physical needs and personal care including feeding and hygiene.
Manage behavior of assigned students and intervene in crises as needed.
Work with assigned students or small groups to develop motor skills.
Assist assigned students throughout the school day.
Skills
Ability to work with children with disabilities
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to communicate effectively
Maintain confidentiality
Education
High school diploma or GED and ESSA or NCLB Certificate
Associates degree or 48 college hours from an accredited college
