Douglas ESD in Roseburg, Oregon, is seeking a Special Education Instructional Assistant for a Complex Needs Classroom. Start date is immediate, full-time, with a pay range of $21.52–$27.72 per hour based on verifiable experience.

The role involves implementing individualized programs, supervising students with disabilities, and performing related duties. There are duties that may include medical tasks and intensive student support throughout approx. 208 days/year.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in EI/ECSE with children with special needs preferred.
• Experience as instructional assistant preferred.
• Willing to learn and use PBIS.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with helping students develop positive interpersonal relationships and safety; promote student safety and self-confidence.
• Perform delegated medical tasks, such as administration of medication, G-tube feeding, and suctioning a student.
• Be able to perform repetitive, physically demanding classroom requirements and support students with moderate to severe needs.
• Utilizes therapeutic interventions as trained and may involve physical restraints as directed by supervisor.
• Complete reports, IEPs/IFSPs, and other forms from teacher scripts and collect data on programs.
