Job summary

Marietta Center for Nursing and Healing is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on a PRN basis in Marietta, GA. This role focuses on helping patients overcome communication disorders and regain independence within a long-term care environment.

Responsibilities include evaluations, developing treatment plans, delivering therapies, and educating families, with attention to accurate documentation and progress monitoring.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in speech-language pathology is required.
• Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients as needed.
• Experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments to diagnose and treat communication disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Provide speech therapy interventions, including individual and group sessions, under supervision.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient treatment and progress.
