Job summary

Mercy House in Buena Park, CA seeks a full-time Shuttle Driver to transport guests to and from the Emergency Shelter Program. The role requires safe driving, route planning, safety checks, and shelter logistics support outside driving time.

Responsibilities include maintaining vehicle cleanliness, assisting with wheelchair lifts, reporting, and supporting meals and cleaning tasks as needed. Fluency in Spanish is a plus; E-Verify participation is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a clean driving record with no limitations.
• Ability to operate large vehicles around 24 feet in length.

Responsibilities

• Drive program vehicles safely to approved locations and maintain order.
• Complete safety checks and ensure seat belts and restraints are used correctly.
• Keep vehicles clean and report maintenance needs.
• Load guests safely and assist with wheelchair lifts as needed.
• Plan daily routes and generate route/maintenance reports for management.
• Support shelter activities including meals, laundry, and cleaning as required.
