Job summary

The Ivy Thornton is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to maintain clean resident apartments, public areas, and laundry for residents and the community in a friendly, courteous manner. This role aligns with our mission and values.

Shifts run 8:00am - 4:30pm with a steady schedule. Candidates should have customer service skills and a genuine desire to care for the elderly; prior housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prefer housekeeping or janitorial experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to care for the elderly.
• Ability to communicate with residents, families, and staff.
• Criminal background check and health screenings required.
• Vaccination and PPE may be required.

Responsibilities

• Clean all resident apartments, as directed.
• Clean all public areas, common areas, and work areas as directed.
• Complete community and resident laundry and ironing, as assigned.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
