Job summary

IVY AT HAWAII KAI, a premier senior living community in Hawaii, seeks a Driver to operate community vehicles safely during outings and to assist residents during activities. The role includes loading residents, adhering to laws, and helping with events under Oakmont Management Group oversight.

Applicants should be 21+, hold a Class B/C license with Passenger Endorsement, and have strong customer service skills. Health and background checks are required and PPE may be used as per guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Prefer two years of experience driving a vehicle transporting people.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to interact with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents and families.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.
• Vaccination/health screening and PPE requirements per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions and appointments.
• Assist with loading residents and belongings onto/off vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles per standards and demonstrate safe driving.
• Act as a member of the activity staff during outings and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.
