Job summary

Oakmont Management Group's The Ivy at Berkeley seeks a Driver to safely operate community vehicles and supervise residents during outings. You will assist in setting up and breaking down activities in line with our mission and values.

Applicants must have a Class B/C license with Passenger Endorsement, a high school diploma, and strong written and verbal communication with residents, families, and staff. Oakmont is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Prefer two years of experience driving a vehicle/van/bus transporting people.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with residents, families, and staff.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.
• Vaccination and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, and resident appointments.
• Assist with loading/unloading residents and belongings.
• Follow state and federal laws when operating community vehicles; perform inspections.
• Act as a member of activity staff during outings and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
