Meridian Senior Living is hiring a Cook to work closely with the Dining Services Manager in Washington, DC. You will be responsible for the community’s food ordering, preparation, and delivery, while ensuring nutrition, taste, and kitchen sanitation. Strong customer service to residents and staff is essential.

The role requires a high school diploma and prior food service experience; a Food Handlers Permit may be required by state regulations. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six (6) months’ prior experience in a food service department preferred.
• Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations.
• Previous experience working with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nutritional and appetizing food presentation.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and supplies.
