William Penn Senior Suites in Jeannette, PA is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in an apartment-style assisted living facility. You will ensure dietary needs are met, maintain a clean kitchen, and work with the dietitian to implement changes.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 8th grade education.
• Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to move and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary orders.
• Inspect diet trays to ensure correct diet is served to residents.
• Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary.
• Work with the facility's dietitian to implement recommended changes.
• Ensure all food procedures follow established policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and equipment.
• Assist in inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies.
• Recommend equipment and supply needs to the Director of Food Services.
• Make only authorized food substitutions.
• Assist in food preparation for special meals and events.
