Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living is seeking an On Call Server in California for AM/PM shifts Tue-Sat, offering a pay range of $17.80–$18.80 per hour. The role supports residents with daily living activities, ensuring safety, dignity, and quality of life in a senior living setting.

The ideal candidate has a genuine desire to care for the elderly, strong customer service, and good written/verbal communication. Training is provided; this is an on-call, part-time position based at our community in Alameda.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For health and safety, vaccination/ PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in Activities of Daily Living as per care plan (eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, continence).
• Respond promptly to residents' needs while maintaining dignity and safety.
• Report observed changes of condition to supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork and cooperative interactions with coworkers and departments.
