Job summary

Amada Senior Care Northshore is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our team. You will assist clients with daily living activities, provide companionship, and support health and well-being in their own homes.

Responsibilities include personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and coordinating transportation or errands. A strong emphasis is placed on empathy, reliability, and professional communication with clients and families.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in care is required
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is preferred
• Proficiency in caregiving techniques expected
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors effectively
• Familiarity with home care systems is beneficial
• Background in childcare, social work, or related fields helps
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
• Competence in meal preparation for special dietary needs

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with meal preparation and medication reminders
• Perform light housekeeping tasks
• Escort clients to appointments and run errands
• Monitor and report changes in health status
• Implement behavior management techniques when necessary
• Maintain household records and provide thoughtful companionship
