Job summary

Home Instead in Northwest Indiana is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care and companionship to aging adults in Lake and Porter Counties. You’ll support seniors to stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home while offering families peace of mind.

Duties include companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, medication reminders, personal care, mobility assistance, and transportation. We welcome CNAs and experienced caregivers, but no medical background is required.

Qualifications

• Must be compassionate and dependable.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and families.
• Ability to work independently in a client’s home.
• Experience welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Meal preparation for clients.
• Light housekeeping tasks.
• Medication reminders as needed.
• Personal care assistance when required.
• Mobility and transfer support.
• Transport to appointments and errands.
• Alzheimer’s and dementia care when needed.
• Assist with daily activities and routines.
