Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living at South Boston in Richmond, VA is seeking a Resident Care Associate (RCA) to assist seniors in Assisted Living and Memory Care, following individualized care plans and documenting services to support dignity and quality of life.

We value compassion and flexibility, including weekend availability, with CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Full-time benefits, including health insurance and retirement savings, are provided.

Qualifications

• Compassionate disposition and a desire to serve residents.
• Ability to fulfill physical and emotional needs of residents.
• Direct-Care certification or willingness to obtain if required by state.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain per policy.
• Upholds resident confidentiality and demonstrates respect.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and communicate with the Resident Care Director.
• Aid residents with mobility and safe handling to prevent accidents.
• Perform routine rounds per individualized care plans.
• Assist with lifts/moves using proper body mechanics and equipment.
• Document daily care activities per policy and regulatory standards.
• Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors and staff promptly.
• Familiarize with individualized care plans and support accordingly.
• Maintain a homelike environment and uphold resident rights.
