Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in care giving to older adults preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be 18 years old and pass criminal history check.
• Must have physical exam by a licensed physician and a negative drug screen.
• Must understand risk of exposure to infectious waste, disease, chemicals, solution, and disinfectants.
• Must be able to react in an emergency situation.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance per person-centered philosophy and resident rights.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living according to individual needs.
• Protect confidentiality of personal and medical information.
• Respond to resident calls and emergencies promptly.
• Escort residents to meals and assist with dining and meals as needed.
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in resident and common areas.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with residents and their families.
• Participate in special events and other duties as assigned.
