Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving to older adults is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be 18 years of age with a satisfactory criminal history check.
• Must pass a physical examination and have a negative drug screen.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance to residents according to the Oaks Senior Living philosophy and resident rights.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and promote independence.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and follow privacy requirements.
• Notify supervisors of changes in resident condition and document appropriately.
• Attend staff meetings and communicate effectively with residents and management.
• Respond to resident calls and emergencies per policy and procedures.
• Assist with meals, dining room service, and sanitation; support residents’ dining experience.
• Promote residents’ rights, dignity, and person-centered care.
