Qualifications

• Previous work with children in an educational or childcare environment.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification & Licensing: First Aid/CPR, Safety Care Training.

Responsibilities

• Manages behavior of students using district safety care protocols while entering, in transit, or exiting the bus.
• Secures wheelchairs, harnesses and/or car seats and operates lift system for students with needs.
• Provides written records of violations to the Transportation Dispatcher as needed.
• Supervises usage and handling of assistive tech devices.
• Assists bus drivers with day-to-day management and emergency procedures.
• Communicates effectively with students.
• Participates in staff meetings and training sessions.
• Carries out health plans and can provide first aid as necessary.
• Assists students crossing streets if necessary.
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Performs related work as required and assigned
