Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha is seeking a reliable Room Service Associate to support patient meals and tray delivery. This role requires attention to service quality and food-handling standards within a healthcare setting.

Location is at Methodist Hospital with a schedule of 32 hours over 4 days, 6:30am–3pm, weekends required. Prior food service experience and a GED are preferred, with opportunities for growth within Food Service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months food service experience preferred, with strong emphasis on customer service.
• Food Handler's Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the assembly area for room service tray production and keep it clean.
• Ensure adequate levels of food and supplies are available for service.
• Assemble and deliver patient food trays following Room Service guidelines.
• Assist with production and preparation of food items to meet timely Room Service orders.
• Interact with patients, families, hospital staff and Food Service team professionally to ensure excellent service.
• Assist patients with pre-meal service, including removing lids and opening packets.
• Retrieve and help clean Room Service tray carts to maintain service continuity.
• Follow proper food handling procedures and maintain a safe environment.
