Job summary

Avera Family Medicine Yankton is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in a clinic setting. You will communicate with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care while coordinating schedules and patient flow.

Responsibilities include administering medications, assisting during procedures, documenting patient information, and educating patients on health and wellness. A sign-on bonus and loan repayment programs may be available.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of practice.
• Prior nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Performs general nursing care to patients and administers prescribed medications and treatments.
• Prepares equipment and assists providers during procedures, tests, and examinations.
• Observes and reports patient condition and reactions to treatments to provider.
• Manages appointment scheduling to ensure timely flow, including emergencies.
• Greets patients, collects health history, vitals, and nursing assessments.
• Educates patients and families about diagnostic processes, medications, nutrition, and wellness.
