Job summary

Paradigm Healthcare is seeking compassionate, fun-spirited RNs to provide direct nursing care in a long-term care setting. Your role will revolve around planning and directing care per physician orders, maintaining privacy and compliance, and supporting the nursing staff to deliver excellent resident care.

Requirements include an active RN license in Texas, an Associate Degree in Nursing, and 2 years’ LTC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State.
• An Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• 2 years’ experience in Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• Six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred.
• Strong utilization knowledge of Point Click Care preferred.
• Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate leadership, organizational skills, ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude, and attention to details.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with the nurse practice act, federal and state regulations, facility policies and procedures, and prudent nursing judgment.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the delivery of a resident’s plan of care per physician’s orders and guidelines.
• Oversee nursing service personnel and ensure adherence to standards and policies.
• Develop daily work assignments and unit assignments; assist nursing supervisory staff as needed.
• Ensure all policies, procedures, and privacy rules are followed within the department.
