Job summary

Forestville Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in a long-term care setting. The RN will oversee the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, and provide physical and emotional support to residents and families.

Responsibilities include medication administration, staff supervision, and promoting residents' independence through patient education and care planning.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an approved nursing program.
• Must possess and maintain a current state RN license.
• At least 1 year of long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify resident care requirements by establishing rapport with residents and others.
• Administer medications and supervise staff to ensure resident well-being.
• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, families and friends.
• Promote residents' independence by teaching self-care skills and care goals.
• Ensure quality of care by monitoring outcomes and suggesting adjustments.
• Maintain a safe, infection-controlled environment following policies.
• Document care in resident and department records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet care needs.
