Sample Supports seeks dependable Respite Providers to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include following care plans, assisting with daily living, providing companionship, and coordinating transportation as needed.

Positions may involve live-in, in-home, or community respite. Training is provided to ensure safety, privacy, and person-centered support, with compensation varying by assignment and needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Ability to meet motor vehicle record standards.
• Ability and willingness to safely transport individuals when assigned.
• Ability to pass required criminal background checks.
• Ability to lift or assist up to 75 pounds.
• Willingness to perform Nonviolent Crisis Intervention techniques when required.
• Ability to remain calm during emergencies.
• Knowledge of IDD and trauma-informed care preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Provide respectful, person-centered care to adults with IDD.
• Follow service plans and routines.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Provide emotional support, companionship, and meaningful engagement.
• Support participation in recreational activities and community outings.
• Assist with transportation as identified in the plan.
• Monitor health, safety, and well-being during respite.
• Maintain required medical and service records.
• Complete accurate documentation for services provided.
• Communicate changes or concerns to Sample Supports team.
