Job summary

CARC Advocates For Citizens With Disabilities, Inc. in Florida seeks compassionate direct-support professionals to assist adults with developmental disabilities in a home-like setting.

You will help with daily living activities, monitor health, and ensure safety and dignity. Responsibilities include documenting progress, administering medications, transporting residents to appointments, and staying compliant with safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with one year experience in residential habilitation or related field.
• CPR certification required; must be med certified within 90 days of employment.
• Must possess a valid State of FL driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADL skills to promote independence.
• Provide daily tasks, household chores, feeding, transferring, bathing, dressing, and toileting support as needed.
• Record progress, incidents, and medication administration on required forms.
• Ensure proper storage, handling and documentation of medications.
• Provide supervision and transportation for medical appointments and social activities.
• Reflect a positive attitude and comply with safety and privacy regulations.
