Job summary

Phoenix House California seeks a dedicated Driver to operate the company van and transport residents and staff to appointments while maintaining safety and confidentiality. The role involves recordkeeping, daily vehicle inspections, and reporting maintenance needs.

The Driver must hold a Class C license, complete defensive driving certification, and maintain a TB test clearance. Bilingual Spanish is preferred to better serve diverse residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Operate a company vehicle to predetermined destinations safely and with proper driving mechanics.
• Maintain vehicle trip logs and perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Report vehicle maintenance to Operations Manager and complete logs.
• Ensure all passengers wear seat belts and maintain safe behavior at all times.
• Keep the vehicle clean and sanitary at all times.
• Transport residents to appointments and events as scheduled.
• Attend required staff trainings and meetings; support agency policies.
• Document information in staff logs and maintain confidentiality.
