Job summary

Opal Senior Living in New York is seeking a Resident Associate to provide direct support to residents with daily living needs while promoting dignity, safety, and quality of life.

You will assist with activities of daily living, observe changes in residents’ condition, support meal service and hydration, and follow infection control, safety, and documentation standards to ensure consistent, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in assisted living or senior services preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents, families and team members.
• Commitment to resident safety, respect and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide respectful, service-focused support that encourages independence whenever possible.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or cognitive condition.
• Support meal service, hydration, and engagement in daily routines.
• Follow proper infection control, safety, and documentation standards.
