Job summary

Hebrew SeniorLife in Boston is seeking a Nursing Assistant for 32 hours per week, days: 8-hour shifts, every other weekend (6:45 AM–3:15 PM). The role supports residents with daily living activities, maintains a safe, comfortable environment, and contributes to a home-like care setting aligned with the center's mission.

You will work as a vital team member, document care in the EMR, follow infection control practices, and participate in ongoing training to ensure high-quality, compassionate care

Qualifications

• MA CNA certification in good standing upon hire
• Fluent English skills required – verbal and written
• BLS/CPR Certification within 90 days of hire
• Computer literacy required
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Must complete mandatory HSL/HRC educational requirements and programs

Responsibilities

• Recognize and respond to the needs of residents and families
• Communicate changes in residents' condition to the nursing team
• Adhere to Safe Patient Handling practices and maintain a no-manual-lift environment
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as indicated in care plans
• Document care delivered in the resident's medical record
• Report accidents, incidents, and suspected abuse promptly
• Observe and report skin integrity and vital signs as directed
• Participate in daily report and care planning meetings
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of residents according to HIPAA
• Maintain cleanliness of residents' rooms and common areas
