Job summary

Marian Woods, a 50-bed Adult Home in Hartsdale, New York, is seeking a Resident Care Aide (RCA) with experience working with an elderly population. The position is full-time, primarily day shift (7am–3pm) with some evenings and every other weekend.

Offered compensation is $17.69 per hour with weekend and night differential. On-site parking is free, meals provided on day and evening shifts, and Marian Woods offers competitive benefits. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience working with the elderly is required.
• PCA/HHA is preferred.
• Excellent spoken and written English is required.
• Ability to respond appropriately in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide care necessary for residents to maintain independence and daily living needs.
• Assist residents with the medication program.
• Assist residents with laundry and bed making.
• Encourage and facilitate residents in social and recreational activities.
• Greet and screen visitors; answer and direct all phone calls.
• Provide first aid and other treatments as assigned.
• Fill out records and communication logs.
