Job summary

Elgin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Hospitality Aide to support residents with non-clinical care and daily activities under the supervision of the Charge Nurse. The role involves assisting residents with grooming, meals, mobility, and personal items while maintaining safety and timely communication.

Candidates should be at least 16 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED (preferred), and be able to follow schedules and respond to calls with professionalism and care.

Qualifications

• Clear verbal and written communication with residents and staff.
• Ability to walk, lift (up to 50 pounds with/without accommodations), and provide physical assistance.
• Ability to follow resident assignment schedules and report needs to the Charge Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical care and services to residents as directed by the Charge Nurse.
• Assist residents with daily activities, grooming, and personal needs.
• Respond promptly to call lights and carry out non-direct care requests.
• Assist with mobility, dining, hygiene, and safety practices in the facility.
• Maintain cleanliness of wheelchairs, beds, and resident equipment and observe safety guidelines.
• Support residents during activities and participate in drills and trainings.
