Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• License Registered Nurse required.
• American Heart Association - Basic Life support Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments. Responsible for assessing health care needs, formulating a care plan, its implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinates care and directs assistive personnel to provide patient-centered care with safety and efficiency.
• Collaborates with health professionals to determine healthcare needs and maintains patient-family relationships with trust and respect.
• Maintains mandatory education requirements and participates in professional development and quality improvement activities.
• Demonstrates commitment to patients, staff, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; accountable for nursing practice and patient safety.
