Job summary

Abatherapypartners seeks a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work 1:1 with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing ABA therapy under supervision. The role emphasizes behavior intervention, data collection, and collaboration with BCBA to enhance client outcomes.

Applicants should be certified or eligible for RBT, hold CPI and CPR/BLS certifications, and have a strong desire to work with autism and related disabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with multiple age groups.
• Experience with aggressive and self-injurious behaviors.
• Certified Behavior Technician (BACB) or RBT-eligible.
• CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention or equivalent certification.
• U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or valid work authorization.
• Holds OSHA, HIV, HIPAA, CPR, and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain.
• High school diploma required.
• Experience with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Strong multitasking and attention to detail.
• Desire to work with children with autism and related disabilities.
• Clear criminal background.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 ABA therapy with children and individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Accept and implement feedback provided by BCBA for program integrity.
• Teach socially acceptable replacement behaviors.
• Provide 1:1 ABA therapy for children with Autism and related disorders.
• Communicate client progress with supervising BCBA.
• As applicable, provide transportation related to the implementation of activities as directed by the treatment plan.
• Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior support plan.
• Implement behavior therapy techniques as instructed by the Behavioral Services Manager and Behavior Specialist.
• Review data and progress reports with Behavioral Services Manager and Behavior Specialist to strategize program improvements.
• Document interventions and progress towards goals accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in the creation of instructional materials.
• Openly flexible and responsible in working with multiple children at one time, when necessary.
• Attend a variety of in-service training sessions and other related meetings.
• Desire to work for / with children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
