Qualifications

• License/Certification: CRT license in Therapeutic Radiologic Technology
• BLS preferred
• AMA approved Radiation Therapy Technology program is preferred
• Two years experience as radiation therapy technologist

Responsibilities

• Explain treatment procedures and communicate during treatment; ensure patient safety.
• Maintain visual and audible communication with patient during treatment.
• Schedule patients to optimize machine use and perform machine warm-up.
• Operate linear accelerator and deliver prescribed treatment per plan.
• Coordinate with hospital staff for patient scheduling and cross-team communication.
• Perform QA on treatment machine and simulator; verify chart accuracy.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; comply with HIPAA.
