Job summary

The Radiation Therapist at The Vicksburg Clinic, LLC will deliver prescribed radiation therapy to patients under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist, ensuring accurate patient positioning and treatment delivery. You will work with the clinical team to maintain treatment quality, safety, and patient comfort in a fast-paced oncology setting.

Requirements include ARRT-T and state licensure as applicable, plus BCLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred.
• ARRT-T license required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire required.
• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Delivers prescribed radiation therapy treatments using megavoltage equipment and verifies daily treatment parameters for accuracy before each session.
• Positions patients and adjusts equipment settings based on treatment plans using immobilization devices and alignment techniques.
• Performs daily quality assurance checks on treatment machines and simulation equipment and initiates corrective action as needed.
• Assists with CT simulations and obtains portal/verification images as per department protocols.
• Maintains treatment records and enters data into electronic systems with proper documentation.
