Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant for Advocate Medical Group in Aurora, IL. The role supports the care team with clinical and administrative tasks, including taking vital signs, medical histories, preparing patients for exams, and assisting providers during procedures.

You will document care in the electronic health record, relay test results, manage test results and messages, administer medications and vaccines as directed, and collaborate with physicians, nurses and teammates

Qualifications

• Must have medical assistant diploma or 2 years MA experience or be a certified MA with 2 years.
• Phlebotomy skills preferred.
• Ability to work Tue/Thu 8am–6pm and one Saturday per month 8am–12pm.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Ability to work Tuesday's and Thursday's hours of operation (8 am until 6 pm).
• Ability to work one Saturday per month hours of operation (8 am until 12 pm).
• This position is primarily desk-based and is responsible for communicating test results to patients, managing return phone calls, processing prescription refill requests, and responding to MyChart messages.
• As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
