Job summary

Total Care Therapy is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant in Ohio to support residents in assisted and independent living communities. You will work with a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver patient-centered care that improves mobility, strength, and independence.

The role emphasizes teamwork, clinical excellence, and opportunities for growth, with compensation either per-visit or salary depending on hours and tenure.

Qualifications

• Current State PTA license required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and auto insurance.
• Experience in geriatrics/home health/assisted living or skilled nursing preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled PT treatments under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the PT.
• Complete documentation using an EMR system.
• Educate residents and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety.
• Collaborate with therapists and interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain a full caseload with high-quality care.
