Job summary

Elm Management seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver quality rehabilitation services to residents under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist with implementing individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence, while documenting progress and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license or state certification as required by the state.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments according to established treatment plans.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and functional mobility activities.
• Help residents improve strength, balance, coordination, range of motion, and mobility.
• Monitor residents' responses to treatment and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Document treatments, resident progress, and other required information accurately.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and safety measures.
• Communicate with nursing staff, Physical Therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment.
• Follow facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
