Job summary

Sanford Health in Minot, ND seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to plan, organize and deliver rehabilitation programs that help clients recover mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and prevent deformities. Conducts examinations, evaluations, and interventions for those affected by injury or disease.

The role requires ND licensure, BLS, and ongoing education. Typical schedule is Day shift, M-F, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

Must be licensed in the state of practice as a Physical Therapist.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within 60 days.
Maintains department competencies and certifications as required.

Responsibilities

Utilizes tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards.
Documents client's information for evaluation; establishes therapeutic plans and modifies them if necessary.
Educates clients and their families about treatment plans/schedules and home exercises.
Knowledge of age-related treatments and evaluations related to clients’ needs.
Demonstrates knowledge of current research in daily treatment.
May treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnosis and disorders.
Follows department guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrates flexibility with variable schedules/assignments.
Participates in activities to promote the department and Sanford Health.
May supervise assistants, aides, and students delivering care.
Provides ongoing education and training to peers in area(s) of expertise.
