Job summary

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Psychiatric Technician to support individuals with mental illness and developmental delays in hospital and residential settings. Qualifications

• Minimum six months post-high school education in behavioral sciences or related field preferred.
• CNA certification or 1–2 years of college preferred.
• Ability to work with individuals with complex behavioral and mental health needs.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical and emotional support to people served in individual and group settings.
• Support safety management, crisis intervention, and de-escalation.
• Assist with activities of daily living (personal care, hygiene, dressing, etc.).
• Document progress notes, medication administration (as trained), and incident reports.
• Support treatment plans, programming, and community activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment.
