Job summary

Unity Psychiatric Care in Clarksville, TN is seeking an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing services, direct patient care, and health education across our hospital. Under supervision, you will ensure standards of care and participate in clinical assessments and treatments.

Requirements include completion of an LPN program, current state LPN licensure, and a minimum of six months clinical experience in a hospital or related setting. Flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an LPN program is required.
• Current State LPN license is required.
• Minimum six months experience in a hospital, long-term care facility or other healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all resident/patient treatments.
• Assist physicians and the Director of Nursing in treatment and examination of patients.
• Document nurses’ notes, physicians’ orders, discharge plans and related records.
• Order from pharmacy, prepare and administer medications as directed by physician.
• Perform prescribed treatments and procedures and monitor patients.
• Admit, transfer and discharge patients.

Education
