Job summary

Watertown Regional Medical Center, part of ScionHealth, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate care in a behavioral health unit. Under licensed nursing supervision, you will assist with daily living activities, observe patients for safety, and support therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities include documentation in the EMR, admission/discharge support, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required or preferred).
• CNA certification required; BCLS certification required within facility-specified time frame.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, ambulation, feeding and elimination.
• Support patients with psychosocial needs under supervision of RN.
• Maintain safety and observe patient behavior, promoting a secure environment.
• Document intake/output, vital signs, and notable patient information in EMR.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge procedures and respond to call lights promptly.
• Participate in crisis interventions and de-escalation under RN direction.
• Maintain infection control and patient confidentiality.
