Job summary

Liberty Senior Living in Lexington, South Carolina seeks an experienced Utility Prep Cook to support daily dining services for residents. You will follow recipes, assist with food preparation, and help maintain nutrition, flavor, appearance, tenderness, and quality.

Work closely with culinary staff and the Sous Chef, monitor sanitation, and assist with catered events. A high school diploma and kitchen experience are preferred. Background checks and EOE apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year in kitchen/culinary food service.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and production schedules based on resident census.
• Records and reports over-production, underproduction, and waste.
• Assists with food preparation to maintain nutrition, flavor, appearance, tenderness, and quality.
• Communicates with culinary staff and Sous Chef for inventory and shortages.
• Maintains safe food preparation methods across receiving, storing, and serving.
• Keeps kitchen clean and sanitary at all times.
• Assists with setup and breakdown for catered events.
