Job summary

Cambridge Healthcare Services, LLC in the Los Angeles area seeks a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents in our skilled nursing facility.

You will administer exercises and modalities, monitor progress, educate residents and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, compliant care while maintaining a safe therapy environment.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current state licensure or certification as a PTA.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, activities, and modalities as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and communicate any changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
• Educate residents and their families on home exercise programs and safety precautions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to residents.
