Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
• California license to practice Physical Therapy is required.
• One year of experience as a physical therapy aide is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists.
• Designs and implements a plan of care for patients based on thorough assessment and involves significant others when appropriate.
• Conducts therapy practice within defined standards of care.
• Directs assistance of support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals.
• Communicates with other professionals and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Maintains documentation, prescriptions and signatures as required.
• Participates in education and professional development activities to advance therapy services.
