Job summary

Fowler Care Center in California is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Working under a licensed Physical Therapist, you will help patients recover mobility and independence through individualized therapy plans and hands-on interventions.

Ideal candidates have an accredited PTA program graduate, California PTA license, CPR/BLS, and experience in SNF or post-acute care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current California PTA license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• SNF or rehab experience preferred; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans to improve strength, mobility and independence.
• Provide skilled PT interventions per plan of care.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, and other mobility impairments.
• Observe and document patient progress and communicate with supervising PT.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, mobility, and fall prevention.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and therapists to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain a clean, safe treatment environment and equipment.
